Sun and Cloud Craft Project
Hello, everybody!
Today I will show you how to make an original art and craft project to do with your children. It’s called the Sun and Cloud project. Your children will love it as they can hang it in their bedroom and play with it whenever they want. Let’s start!
Supplies:
– A sun and a cloud template (you can download a free printable template that I created here 🖨️)
– A glue stick
– A white and a yellow sheet of cardstock
– A pencil
– A pair of scissors
– A paint brush
– Lollipop craft sticks of two different sizes 🛒 and 🛒
– A black marker
– A few cotton balls or cotton pads
Instructions:
1) Download and print the sun and cloud template. Cut out the pieces from the template.
2) Trace the sun onto a yellow sheet of cardstock and the cloud onto a white one. Cut them out.
3) Apply some glue to the edge of the cloud using the paint brush. Carefully attach little pieces of cotton onto the edge of the cloud. Feel free to use more glue if needed. Just be careful not to use too much!
4) Apply some glue onto the lollipop craft sticks using the paint brush. Glue the long ones behind the sun in the shape of a cross. Now, glue the short ones behind the sun diagonally to finish forming the rays of the sun.
5) It’s time to decorate your sun and cloud! Use all of your wonderful creativity. 😀 Glue the googly eyes to the cardstock using the glue stick. Next, make some cheeks by using colored dots or rhinestone stickers. You can also draw eyelashes for the cloud by using a thin black marker :-)! The mouth can be created by drawing tiny mouths onto the colored cardstock. Cut these mouths out then glue them to both of the projects. Apply also more rhinestone stickers onto the sun rays or simply paint them using a marker or acrylic colours with a paint brush.

This project is good for preschool and primary school children. You can also do it with children from two years and up, though they will need more help with it. The final result is not important. The essential thing is that your children had fun!
